days 50-60

"My steadfast love shall not depart from you and My covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you." Isaiah 54:10
My apologies for not keeping the blog updated. Last week was a holiday week and we were awaiting blood labs that had been sent out for specialized tests. We are thankful to report the tests came back within or near normal limits and the hematologist was happy with the results. She is going to follow up this week but feels the hemoglobin has leveled out, though still a bit low. The doctors will then see where she stands post-pregnancy.
Katrina remains stable otherwise with minimal contractions and baby boy is active and has a good heart rate. We can't wait to see this little guy....well, can't wait but want to wait a few more weeks! Her doctor gave her permission on Friday to walk to the shower and sit to shower. That was such a big step for her. Those 15 minutes a day make such a positive difference for her.
Also, a great big THANK YOU to the staff at Farney, where daddy Louis works. Today, Katrina has been on strict hospital bed rest for 60 days. That causes quite a lot of body aching in her hips and legs, low back and neck. Due to their thoughtfulness, Katrina was treated to a massage last Thursday plus the weeks to come. It is such a relief and highlight in her week - something to look for to relief from the body aches. Your gift is appreciated more than you know!
Looking ahead this week. Dr. Adam is planning an ultrasound for early this week. Pray that all looks good. Then she will begin to decrease the IV Magnesium. Please pray she does not contract as this is decreased. I will let you know how this goes.
Thank you for your continued concern and prayers for Louis, Katrina and their little son. G'ma Lori
