"Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9)
"...for He Himself has said, 'I will never desert you, nor will I ever forsake you,' so that we confidently say, 'The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid." (Hebrews 13:5-6)
The last two days have been a mental battle. With each handful of unfamiliar events, anxiety grips in. In our heads, we know we are where we need to be. We know that God is with us that this is His plan.
However, our minds/focus wanders when contractions increase or the intensity changes. The major event for one of the days was Katrina needing to relieve herself, but having to go on a bed pan coupled with the apprehension of pushing, along with contractions during the whole time was very stressful. The other was just increase in frequency of contractions and much more feeling to them. These two days have definitely shown how we still grasp onto our agenda instead of God's or rather we haven't fully put our trust/fears to Jesus. Neither of us are particularly ready for the baby to come early (we're getting there). But the truth of the matter is if it is God's will, then the baby will come early. He is for us and not against us. His will is perfect and good. And this is the peace that we are seeking for (and will hopefully arrive at soon) -- the FULL/WHOLEHEARTED belief that God's got everything under control and what He chooses to do is good.
"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7)

I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
